I’m Julian Rangel, a 20-year-old licensed tattoo artist based in El Paso, TX, specializing in medium to large-scale realism and black & grey. I started tattooing at 18, learning from my older brother and tattoo artist, Wicked Arte Original, who gave me my foundation in the craft.
I believe good tattoos shouldn’t be rushed. I take my time throughout the entire process, from the design to the stencil, before the needle ever touches the skin. I work closely with my clients to bring their ideas to life while adding my professional advice and artistic vision to make sure the final piece works as a tattoo.
My work focuses on realism, strong contrast, smooth shading, detail, and intentional use of negative space. I pay close attention to how each element comes together so the important details stand out without overcrowding the piece.
I take my work seriously and I’m always focused on improving with every piece. My goal is simple: take the time to do the tattoo right and create work that’s worth the time, investment, and trust my clients put in me.

Tattoos done only in black ink and grey wash. This is about contrast, smooth shading, and a softer healed look — not about copying a photo. Works for many styles.

Leave the bandage on for the time I tell you. Once removed, wash gently with unscented soap and lukewarm water.
Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub or scratch the area.
Apply a thin layer of the recommended aftercare product when the skin starts to feel dry or tight.
Avoid direct sun, swimming, soaking, and picking at scabs while it heals.
If you notice anything unusual during healing, reach out and I’ll guide you through it.
A professional tattoo artist can help you refine an idea into a design that suits your preferences, placement, and the natural shape of your body. Sharing meaningful references and being open to artistic guidance can make the consultation more productive.
Placement can affect the appearance, movement, and long-term visibility of a tattoo. A professional can discuss how the design works with the body's contours and help you make an informed decision based on your goals.
Arriving well rested, hydrated, and with clean skin can help create a more comfortable experience. It is also helpful to communicate openly about your design, placement, and any concerns before the tattooing begins.
Proper aftercare supports the skin as it heals and helps protect the appearance of the tattoo. A professional tattoo artist will provide guidance on keeping the area clean, avoiding unnecessary irritation, and recognizing when further care may be needed.
Professional tattooing combines artistic judgment with careful attention to hygiene, skin, placement, and technique. Choosing a qualified professional helps you approach the process with greater confidence and gives you a trusted source for guidance throughout your tattoo experience.
